Once enrolled in the program, cultural exchange participants are supported by TSS Assist , a multilingual customer service team. Assist stands ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer questions, provide solutions, and, should an emergency arise, support the plan participants until a resolution is reached. 

We can help members in 180+ languages and dialects with: 

• Locating a provider • Planning for medical procedures • Emergency services • Eligibility verification • Claims status inquiries  

Healthcare Services 

Assist has a team dedicated to helping cultural exchange participants access available networks and contain out of pocket expenses. Members receive assistance in managing access and cost throughout the duration of medical care. 

Emergency Services 

Assist works with an extensive network of air ambulance providers. The team utilizes a web-based air ambulance auction tool, which allows them to source air ambulance providers. Assist has extensive knowledge of the capabilities of each provider to ensure exceptional care is provided to our members. 

 All claims are handled directly by TSS. Their dedicated Claims Customer Service Team specializes in international plan participant claims. This team of experts is available by telephone, email, or online from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm EST to help you and your cultural exchange participants with claims-related inquiries such as claims status, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), claims management, analysis, appeals, and more. They take ownership of the complete resolution of any claims issue from the moment the query is received. If a claim is not billed directly through the preferred provider network, they also accept claims for reimbursement of medical expenses accompanied by a claim form. 

 Our international cultural exchange medical programs utilize UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Options PPO Plan in the United States. Plan participants have access to: 

• Over 6,000 hospitals in the US • 1.1 Million network providers in the US • Over 111,000 UnitedHealth Premium designees • Nearly 643 Medical Centers of Excellence • Members have access to the UnitedHealthcare behavioral health network of mental health providers 

Outside of the United States, TSS has developed a worldwide network of medical providers and hospitals that offer our members access to high levels of care. If your international cultural exchange participants travel outside of the U.S. while on program, our Assist team will be there to support them. 

CVS Caremark Prescription Network 

In the United States, TSS partners with CVS Caremark to deliver the pharmaceutical care and value, with access to over 9,900 retail locations in 49 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. CVS Caremark pharmacies include CVS, Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, and other retail locations.

The TSS Member Portal is an online service portal where members can access information regarding their policy, claims, and many other tools and services such as:

The following products are provided through vendors that are not affiliated with Crum & Forster SPC. The services are not considered insurance coverage and do not accumulate towards the Medical Expense Maximum Benefit payable per Period of Insurance or toward the Lifetime Maximum.

 The Schedule of Benefits is a summary outline of the benefits proposed under the medical program. 

The benefits are divided into three sections: 

Medical Expense Benefits, Non-Medical Expense Benefits, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefits. 

All benefits described are subject to the definitions, exclusions and provisions of the policy. 

Medical Expense Benefits 

The following Medical Expense Benefits (in PDF viewer below) are subject to the Insured Person’s Deductible, Copayment, and Coinsurance amount. After satisfaction of the Deductible and applicable Copayments, the Insurer will pay eligible benefits set forth in this Schedule at the specified Plan Coinsurance and reimbursement level.
